Tara

Hi' I am Tara

I have been a pediatric occupational therapist for 14 years. I have worked in early intervention, in-home, school, and clinic-based settings. I have had a passion for the special needs community since a young age, starting in kindergarten. I have volunteered and worked with special needs individuals all my life as a therapist, respite/hab provider, and group home personnel. I love to do DIY projects in my spare time.

Occupational Therapist

What is the essence of what you do?

My goal for occupational therapy is to make a difference in the lives of the children I see. I want to educate the families and children to make sure that the children are the best they can be.

Personal Interests

I like to do DIY projects in my spare time and have renovated a home in the past. I also enjoy spending time with my family and chosen family. I love traveling and learning new cultures.

What I Believe (quote that best describes me)

“Being called weird is like being called limited edition. Meaning you are something that people don’t see that often.”
—Ryan Forbes

What do you like most about your job?

I love when I see the progress that a child makes and the joy in the kid’s eyes when they are excited to come to therapy.

What patients like most about me and my organization?

I am easy to talk to.
