Tess

Hi' I am Tess

The most important occupation for a child is play! Kids learn so much about themselves and their environment through play. I help kids become stronger, more confident, and feel regulated, so they can functionally participate in play activities and learn in school.

What I Believe (quote that best describes me)

“When life gets you down, do you wanna know what you’ve gotta do? Just keep swimming.” – Dory, Finding Nemo

What I Like Most About Working with Patients

I love being able to be creative with my patients and watch them have fun when they come to play at our clinic.

Why Did I Choose to Become an OT?

I chose to be an OT because my older brother has Sensory Processing Disorder (SPD) and he saw a pediatric OT when he was a kid. I saw the improvement OT made for him at home/in school firsthand as his younger sister and I see how well he is thriving today. I wanted to be able to help other kids similar to my brother, so I became an OT!

What Patients Like Most About Me and My Organization

I am not afraid to be goofy with my patients! I incorporate their interests into therapy to make coming to our clinic more fun for them!
